Yoga Guidelines

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allow you to move freely. Please avoid wearing “noisy” bangles.

  • Please avoid wearing strong perfume or after-shave as they may be over-powering for other students.

  • Yoga is practised barefoot. Remove and leave your shoes at the door. If your feet are cold you can keep your socks until we start the practice and put them back on for the final relaxation.

  • Avoid eating just before the practice. If you have to eat have a healthy light snack 1 hour before class.

  • Tell the teacher before class if you have a health-related issues.

  • It is recommended not to drink during class, so please keep your body well hydrated before class. In summer if you need to drink, take only small sips at a time.

  • For the final relaxation you can bring a pair of socks and an extra top.

  • While we have spare yoga mat we prefer that you could bring your own mat.

  • Arrive at least 5 minutes before the class start, to set up your mat and settle calmly.

  • If you are a bit late please settle quietly to avoid disturbing to other students.

  • If you have to leave early, please let us know before the class starts. Please note that it is important to allow your body/mind to relax after the practice to re-establish your natural balance.

  • Mobile telephones must be on silence mode during class.

  • Please share your feedback or any concerns you may have with us after class.

  • Yoga is a self-discovery journey. Please listen to your body, be kind and patient with yourself. Every day, every practice is different so come with a genuinely open and curious mind, be attentive to your unique self and enjoy your practice.
